Aban's Annual Community Wellness Fair @ Anacostia Park Saturday, 10.5.13

Aban is proud to introduce our newest initiative.  Join us every Thursday until September 19 for our Wealth & Wellness Café©.  These are free wealth building and healthy living classes to get you physically and financially fit. Our focus  throughout this month and next is on wealth building strategies.

So if your mind is always on money, and money is on your mind, it is time to stop worrying and get financially fit.

Classes are free and held in Ward 7 at the Ophelia Egypt Program Center (PPMW) at 3933 Minnesota Ave, NE Washington, DC 20019.

• Campaign to end tobacco use among youth and adults in March
• Healthy Activities Promotion Project for You (HAPPY) occurs at Anacostia Park throughout late spring and early fall.
• Promotion of women's health in May
• Promotion men's health in June
• Annual Community Wellness Fair occurs the first weekend in October 
• Family Literacy Initiative will focus on financial literacy in April

Another Successful Community Wellness Fair 2012

We are very appreciative of our community partners that provided a host of resources and information to the community at Aban's 7th Annual Community Wellness Fair held October 6, 2012 at Anacostia Park Roller Skating Pavilion, a National Park Service treasure.  Enjoy photos celebrating a great time, as well as, National Substance Abuse Prevention Month, National Breast Cancer Month and, National Roller Skating Month. It was an inter generational celebration of fun, family, healthy food, friendship, and community based services.
